Director of Finance and Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Finance and Operations based in the United States. The Director of Finance and Operations will lead the financial, administrative, and operational systems that support a mission-driven nonprofit organization focused on protecting ocean health and addressing climate change. This senior, hands-on role oversees financial management, budgeting, reporting, grants, contracts, and organizational administration. Working closely with the CEO, staff, Board, and external finance and HR partners, the Director will ensure that resources are managed effectively and that internal processes remain accurate, compliant, and efficient. As the organization's primary finance and operations lead, this individual will independently manage a broad range of responsibilities while identifying opportunities to strengthen systems and procedures. The role is well suited to an adaptable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys taking ownership and contributing across a collaborative, fully remote team.
