About the role

Anton Paar, one of the world leaders in laboratory instrumentation and services, has a new vacancy for a Laboratory Supervisor based at our Luton facility. The Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the demonstration laboratory, ensuring it remains safe, organised and ready to support customer demonstrations, training and internal testing. A key part of the role will be ensuring that our demonstration instruments are maintained to a high standard and readily available to support the sales teams and wider organisation. The successful candidate will help create a professional, customer-ready laboratory environment that showcases Anton Paar instrumentation at its best. - Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation and organisation of the demonstration laboratory - Ensure laboratory activities are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant Health & Safety requirements, including COSHH and risk assessments. - Maintain and develop laboratory safety procedures, SOPs and associated documentation. - Manage the demonstration instrument inventory, ensuring equipment is available, operational and maintained to the required standard. - Support the installation, configuration and movement of demonstration equipment. - Manage laboratory consumables, chemical inventory, samples, gases, accessories and other essential supplies. - Support customer events, open days, product launches and other marketing activities held within the laboratory. - Become a member of the company fire marshal and first aider team (training provided) - A good understanding of laboratory Health & Safety requirements, including COSHH and risk assessments. - Previous experience working within a laboratory, technical or scientific environment. Working with analytical or laboratory instrumentation would be advantageous - High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and presentation. - A practical, hands-on and proactive approach to problem solving. - Self-motivated, enthusiastic, can-do attitude, able to work under own initiative - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. - Located within easy access to the Luton office. - Attractive base salary plus bonus. - A competitive package of benefits. - Potential for growth within a dynamic company
