About Scribe Scribe https://scribe.com is where exceptional people come to do the best work of their careers. More than 94% of the Fortune 500 use Scribe to own their specialized intelligence: the unique way their teams work, decide, and get things done. Our Specialized Intelligence platform automatically captures how work happens and turns it into a living asset for people and AI agents. We're growing fast. Since our founding in 2019, we've reached 7 million users across 600,000 businesses. Based in San Francisco, we're a LinkedIn Top Startup, valued at over $1B, and backed by leading investors. Join us in our mission to transform how people work. Hiring Manager: Aliza Edelstein https://www.linkedin.com/in/alizaedelstein/, VP of Product Marketing TL;DR - Why this role matters We’re hiring our first dedicated product marketing owner for the new products Scribe launches, with one coming very soon. We’re looking for someone who loves scaling things from zero to one. You’ll be attached at the hip with your Product Manager counterpart from the earliest days of a product’s inception: validating what we’re building, learning the buyer and user we’re building it for, and influencing how we build it based on what you learn in early development phases: design partnerships, alpha, beta, and early access. Then you’ll own bringing it to market and growing it. This is a highly cross-functional, highly visible role for someone who knows what moving a number actually takes, and who loves to build the programs no one else thought of to move the needle. About the role You're a builder who will take full commercial ownership of Scribe’s emerging products, from incubating them, to kicking off our design partner program, to bringing them to market and growing their success over time. You close the gap between what a new product can do and what our customers and prospects need through sharp positioning, strategic marketing launches, thoughtful campaigns, and relentless focus on usage and revenue. When Product is starting early ideation, you are already asking: who is this really for? What would drive adoption? What story should we be telling? Some of the products we build are designed to deliver value directly to end users at companies. Others are designed for senior leaders. This role requires a strategic thinker who can fully learn the buyer and user that each new product is designed for, can step into their shoes, understand their KPIs and pains, and translate that into a GTM plan, positioning, messaging, and collateral that drives usage and revenue. You're a smart, kind, ambitious self-starter and cross-functional leader who thrives leading zero-to-one work, navigating ambiguity, and landing thoughtful decisions quickly, guided by data. You get energy from building deep, authentic connections with customers, and love joining customer calls. You have a keen ability to detect patterns and distill massive amounts of information into concise, compelling, emotionally resonant messaging that GTM teams can’t wait to use. You could be a great fit if Must haves: - You’ve done this before. 5+ years of professional experience in Product Marketing, or in a combination of Product Marketing and Product Management or Product Strategy (we care more about how you think than where you’ve been). You’ve worked in or alongside product, growth, or revenue operations and understand what actually moves deals. You put yourself in the customer’s shoes, and learn to speak their language natively. - You love zero to one. You’ve helped take something from idea to market, ideally more than once. You’re energized by running design partnerships, alpha, beta, and early access programs, and you know how to turn messy early feedback into a clear point of view on what to build, who it’s for, and how to sell it. You’re comfortable making decisions with incomplete information. - You’re a true partner to Product. You’re attached at the hip with your PM counterpart and show up early. You treat what you learn from customers as input to how the product gets built, not just how it gets marketed. - You feel an extreme sense of ownership. You think about marketing the way a GM thinks about a business, always anchoring to a number and thinking about impact. You show a high degree of creativity in identifying and capitalizing on opportunities. - You are a storyteller. You have a deep love of the written word and have exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills. You have your finger on the pulse of AI developments and cultural conversations, and you have a keen ability to understand the audience and distill key messages to persuade them to take action. You put the customers at the center of everything you do. - You influence across functions. You love to lead, and collaborate seamlessly across functions with high EQ (emotional intelligence). Your creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and ambition inspire others to work with you. You flourish in ambiguity and can make quick, thoughtful decisions. - You’re strategic and analytical. You connect quantitative and qualitative insights and can build a POV that holds up in front of the exec team and can be pressure-tested in a spreadsheet. You’re comfortable getting hands-on with tools like Salesforce, Gong, Customer.io http://Customer.io, and Mixpanel, and you apply learnings to improve our messaging, positioning, and public material throughout the funnel. Plus, you leverage AI to accelerate analysis and move from data to decision faster. Nice-to-haves: - Even more writing! You have a background in writing, literature, or history. We take good writing seriously here. If you’re reading this thinking "that’s me!", we want to meet you! This role is not for you if - You need a finished product and a proven playbook before you get started - You are not confident in your ability to write compelling messaging (including website copy and longer form content assets) - You think of positioning as an artifact, rather than a living commercial strategy - You measure success by shipping campaigns, not by what those campaigns produced - Complex challenges drain your energy rather than fuel it - You are focused on leading a team; this is a senior IC role for the medium term What you’ll do - Product discovery & validation: Partner with your PM counterpart from the earliest stages of each product. Learn the buyer and user we’re building for, run design partnerships, alpha, beta, and early access, and bring back what you learn to shape how the product is built. - Product GTM launches: Be a trusted partner to the product team and own the commercial lifecycle of each emerging product. This spans from launch strategy to sustained adoption growth. When a new product ships, you quarterback the launch, including messaging, targeting, and campaigns. Post launch, you identify adoption gaps, find the right levers, and build programs to move the number. - Messaging & positioning: Develop the messaging and positioning to tell the story for the product’s features, and how it fits into Scribe’s broader platform narrative. - Product insights: Surface insights that shape product strategy and execution, from roadmap priorities to user experience, to additional commercial opportunities. - Targeting strategy & execution: Own the audience targeting strategy. You'll identify and expand the right buyers and users, and partner with our Acquisition and Demand Generation teams to find them. - Enablement: Enable cross-functional teams (Marketing, Growth Product, Sales, CS, and other channel owners) with the messaging, playbooks, and plays to acquire and convert these customers. - Business ownership: Set and track the metrics that matter. You own the commercial success of everything you touch, including proactively identifying opportunities to evolve pricing and packaging (in partnership with our Monetization Product leader) as each product grows. Why you'll love working here - The reach of a unicorn, the headcount of a startup. We went from $1M to $100M ARR in under four years, with fewer than 200 people. That means more pie than people: scope grows with your impact. Customers like T-Mobile, LinkedIn, HubSpot, New York Life and Northern Trust run on Scribe, so what you own reaches some of the biggest names in business. - Hard problems, real impact. Capturing how work actually gets done, at scale, is the foundation AI needs, and it's hard to get right. You'll build the layer other products and agents run on, in a category we're still defining. - Smart is the floor. Kind is the bar. Low ego, high standards. We compete as a collective and love to see each other win, and One Team, One Dream is one of the most shouted-out values in #values.   Compensation & location Hybrid. Based in San Francisco. We work from the office 3 days per week, with Mondays and Wednesdays being anchor days. All full-time employees receive equity in Scribe. Final offers depend on experience and scope.   Benefits - Healthcare Coverage – Comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans, including two $0/month medical plan options for employees - Equity – Ownership in what we're building - 401(k) Plan – through Vestwell - Flex Benefit – $500/year for home office equipment, productivity tools, learning & development or fitness/wellness - Commuter Benefits – $100/month for SF based employees - PTO – Flexible paid time off and company holidays - Parental Leave – Paid leave to support growing families - Wellness & Family Support – Free Talkspace membership, One Medical access (location-dependent), and Kindbody discounts for family planning At Scribe, we celebrate our differences and are committed to creating a workplace where all employees feel supported and empowered to do their best work.
