About the Team Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics, a global digital sports platform. The Fanatics Sportsbook is available to 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the U.S. Fanatics Casino is currently available online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Fanatics Betting and Gaming operates twenty-two retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at Northwest Stadium. We’re looking for a Lead Technical Recruiter to join our technical recruiting team and own full-cycle recruiting across engineering functions. As a senior individual contributor, you’ll partner directly with engineering leaders to translate hiring needs into targeted recruiting strategies, build high-quality pipelines, and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This role combines strategic partnership with hands-on execution. You’ll independently manage complex searches, engage hard-to-find talent, and guide candidates and hiring teams through the recruiting process from intake to offer acceptance. Responsibilities - Own full-cycle recruiting for engineering and technical roles, from intake and sourcing through interviews, offer negotiation, and closing. - Partner with engineering leaders to define role requirements, calibrate candidate profiles, and establish effective interview and assessment plans. - Build diverse, high-quality talent pipelines through proactive outreach, talent mapping, market research, and creative sourcing channels. - Develop targeted outreach strategies that engage passive candidates and build relationships with high-priority talent. - Quickly turn new hiring priorities into actionable search plans, independently building pipelines and moving qualified candidates through the funnel. - Conduct recruiter screens to assess relevant experience, motivations, and alignment with role requirements. - Serve as a trusted talent advisor, sharing market insights and providing clear recommendations on search strategy, candidate profiles, and hiring decisions. - Manage multiple searches and adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining momentum and a strong candidate experience. - Use recruiting data to evaluate pipeline health, identify bottlenecks, and recommend adjustments that improve hiring outcomes. - Partner with compensation, People, and business stakeholders to develop competitive offers and support successful candidate closing. - Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity in Greenhouse. - Share best practices, support teammates, and improve recruiting processes to help the team scale. Experience and Skills - 6+ years of technical recruiting experience, including full-cycle ownership of engineering searches. - A proven track record of hiring technical talent across multiple levels, including senior individual contributors and engineering leadership. - Strong hands-on sourcing skills, with demonstrated success identifying and engaging passive candidates for difficult-to-fill roles. - The ability to operate independently, move quickly, and make sound decisions with incomplete information. - Experience partnering directly with engineering leaders and influencing hiring decisions through market knowledge, data, and thoughtful recommendations. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build credibility with candidates and stakeholders. - Experience using an ATS and recruiting metrics to manage searches and improve results; Greenhouse experience is a plus. - Experience succeeding in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment with evolving hiring needs.
