About CookUnity:
Food has lost its soul to modern convenience. And with it, it has lost the power to nourish, inspire, and connect us. So in 2018, CookUnity was founded as the first-of-its-kind platform that connects the world with the source of truly great food: chefs. Today, CookUnity delivers 50 million meals a year from the industry’s best chefs to homes all over the country. Fresh. Ready-to-eat. And crafted with the passion that nourishes body and soul.
Unwilling to stop there, CookUnity is expanding beyond delivery to become an ever-innovating marketplace focused on our singular mission: empower Chefs to nourish the world.
If that mission has you hungry in more ways than one, you’ve found the right job posting.
About the Team:
At CookUnity, the Brand Marketing team is responsible for developing and executing world-class marketing activations and experiences that drive brand awareness and earn loyalty beyond reason. This team sets the vision and strategy for the brand and brings it to life with strategic rigor, creative excellence, and cultural relevance. Through insight-inspired, data-informed brand storytelling and experiences, CookUnity’s Brand Marketing team will build a category-defining brand loved by an entire generation of foodies.
The role:
We're looking for an Organic Social Creator. A senior-level operator and ambitious individual contributor who has already done the hard thing: built an audience from nothing, earned attention without a media budget, and has deep, proven conviction in what makes people stop scrolling.
This is not a strategist who hands off briefs to a team. This is not a creative director who develops other people's on-camera presence. This is the person who is the presence — someone as comfortable pitching a concept on a Monday as they are shooting it themselves Tuesday, editing it Tuesday night, and watching it take off Wednesday.
We're not looking for incremental improvement to our Instagram engagement. We're looking for the person who will make CookUnity impossible to ignore — a brand that shows up in food culture the way elite creators and challenger brands have shown up in theirs: fast, opinionated, everywhere at once, and impossible to fake. If we handed over the keys to our social presence tomorrow — no committee, no six-week approval chain — this person would know exactly what to do next.
This role exists because "safe" has a ceiling, and we need someone who sees that ceiling as an insult.
Responsibilities:
- Own the account like it's your own following. Full creative and executional control over the CookUnity handle, treated with the instinct and urgency of building a personal/lifestyle brand, not managing a corporate handle.
- Produce end-to-end. Concept, shoot, edit, caption, post, iterate — without waiting on agencies, freelancers, or a production. Bring your own eye and your own hands to the work.
- Build for virality, not just visibility. Develop repeatable formats and franchises designed to break containment — content built to be shared, remixed, and talked about outside our own follower base, not just liked by it.
- Live inside culture, not adjacent to it. Track trends, sounds, formats, and conversations in real time across food, entertainment, and internet culture, and move fast enough to insert CookUnity into the moment while it's still the moment, not days after it's over.
- Turn data into instinct, and instinct into data. Use platform analytics and audience signals to know what's working and why, then use that same fluency to make fast creative calls without unnecessary delays and bureaucracy.
- Develop scalable content systems. Design formats and franchises that can eventually be run, replicated, or handed off, even though you're the one proving them out solo in year one.
- Champion and develop on-camera talent when it serves the bigger goal — including CookUnity's chefs — but as an amplifier of your strategy, not the sole engine of it.
- Represent the brand's voice and point of view publicly, with the authority and judgment to make real-time calls on tone, timing, and risk.
- Operate as a business owner would, identifying opportunity, prioritizing ruthlessly, and getting things done with minimal resourcing, oversight, or hand-holding.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven, verifiable track record of building a social following from scratch — personal, brand, or client — to meaningful scale, with evidence of organic (non-paid) growth.
- A portfolio that includes breakthrough content — measurable virality, not just consistent posting. We want to see the spike, not just the steady line.
- Hands-on production fluency: comfortable shooting and editing platform-native short-form video independently, on-camera and behind the lens, without a sizable crew.
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and entrepreneurially — prior experience as a creator, founder, or lean-team operator strongly preferred over purely corporate/agency-only backgrounds.
- Fluency in social platform mechanics and culture — not just what performs, but why, and what's coming next.
- Comfort with ambiguity and speed over process and polish; bias to ship over bias to deck.
- Genuine interest or fluency in food and culinary culture — this doesn't have to be a professional background, but it has to be real.
- Data literacy sufficient to read platform analytics and audience insight and act on it independently, without a dedicated analyst.

A quick note for all candidates
We’ve recently seen an increase in recruitment scams across the industry, and we want to make sure you (and your data) stay safe while applying to CookUnity. We also want you to know that we take this seriously — sometimes, as part of our process, we may ask for a brief “proof of humanity” to confirm that we’re connecting with a real person, not an impersonator. Here are a few tips to help you protect yourself and know what to expect from us:
- Apply only through our official channels. All open roles are listed on our official careers page: careers.cookunity.com
- Our recruiters are real people — and easy to verify. You can always find them on LinkedIn with verified profiles. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out to us on our official LinkedIn Company Page.
- We only communicate through official CookUnity channels. That means emails ending in @cookunity.com and interviews held through official company platforms (Google Meet or Zoom) — never WhatsApp, Telegram, or SMS.
- We’ll never ask for payment or personal financial details. If anyone does, please don’t share any information and let us know right away.
If something ever feels off or you’re unsure about a message, we’d much rather you double-check with us. You can always contact us directly through any of our social media channels. We appreciate your interest in joining CookUnity — and we care about keeping your experience (and safety) as genuine as possible.
