About the role
The Role
- We are looking for an intern to join our Legal team for Summer 2027. This role sits where the legal practice meets technology: your main project will be using AI tools to change how the team captures, organizes, and applies its knowledge.
- At the center of the internship, you will build and maintain a dashboard to both memorialize/categorize as well as produce/query investor documentation. This dashboard will importantly provide the firm with a single, clear view of investor commitments currently spread across various documents.
- You will also use AI to streamline other legal functions. That includes building playbooks that capture the team's negotiating positions and systems to preserve institutional knowledge.
- By the end of the summer, you will have delivered a lasting, practical tool. You will also understand how in-house legal work supports a leading investment platform.
What You’ll Do
- You will work across functions with colleagues outside the legal department to design and build the investor documentation dashboard. That means turning legal concepts into a tool that is structured, easy to use, and valuable to the whole business.
- You will also develop and refine legal playbooks and knowledge management tools on your own. You will be expected to take ownership, use good judgment, and bring a clear point of view on how the team's knowledge can best be organized and shared.
- Throughout the summer, you will apply AI technologies to automate, organize, and improve legal workflows. The goal is to replace manual processes and free the Legal team for higher-value work.
- You will also have the opportunity to take part in one-day rotations through different sub-teams within Legal, which will show you the full range of the team's work across funds, corporate, trading documents, and portfolio management
What You’ll Bring
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Law degree (with 1- 2 years left in your program).
- You are highly skilled with AI tools and have shown that you can apply them creatively to complex, open-ended problems.
- You solve problems well and work comfortably both in collaborative settings and on your own, whether you are aligning stakeholders across teams or driving a project forward independently.
- You are deadline driven and can complete the dashboard, playbooks, and any other assigned work by end of summer.
- You are excited to spend a summer working where legal expertise, technology, and investment strategy come together.
