About the role
ACCOUNT SUPERVISOR MEDIA
About Us:
We’re not your typical agency. In fact, we don’t want to be. At M Booth Health, we take pride in doing what’s right, not what’s easy. Asking difficult questions and finding unexpected answers. Pushing ourselves and our clients to think bigger. Moving beyond imposed limits to break through and create real connection.
We live our brand promise: Choose to Challenge. We're built to help organizations and brands challenge norms, drive results and improve the health and lives of those who need it most.
We believe health communications can change the world. Why? Because we’ve done it before. We’ve been at the forefront of advancing some of the most urgent issues in public health and medicine for decades. Our teams are purpose-built to challenge the status quo and drive results–both for our clients and for the health and well-being of people around the world.
We are actively seeking an Account Supervisor to join our Media Team.
Who you Are:
We want people who are just as passionate about health as we are. People who are serious about the work, but not too serious to have some fun while doing it. Candidates who bring big thinking and even bigger ambition; who are willing to push boundaries and challenge norms. And most importantly, who lead with kindness and humanity above all else. Does that sound like you?
For this role, we’re looking for a natural leader and accomplished media practitioner who’s passionate about the power of communications to improve people’s lives. You’re a strong writer and hands-on pitcher who can find the human story, translate complex health information and earn meaningful coverage. You look beyond the immediate assignment, connecting client priorities, healthcare developments and the evolving media landscape to bring forward thoughtful recommendations. Working with senior strategic guidance, you turn those recommendations into strong execution and help junior colleagues strengthen their thinking and deliverables.
What You’ll Bring
You can independently manage the media work you oversee within agreed direction, connect what you’re learning to broader client priorities and recommend next steps. You take ownership of quality, timing and coordination, coach junior colleagues and know when to seek senior guidance.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in healthcare media relations; experience with Public Affairs, Pharma and Biotech clients preferred
- Demonstrated ability to pitch journalists directly, build productive media relationships and secure meaningful earned coverage through planned outreach and timely opportunities.
- Strong research and media targeting skills, including building accurate, tailored media lists grounded in reporters’ beats, recent coverage, interests and audiences.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience drafting pitches, interview backgrounders, talking points, key messages and media plans.
- Ability to translate complex health and scientific information into clear, accurate and compelling stories.
- Ability to lead day-to-day media execution across multiple assignments, managing outreach, follow-up, interview coordination, timelines and deliverables with minimal routine oversight and strategic guidance from senior media colleagues.
- Ability to develop story angles and recommend media approaches within agreed strategy, using client priorities, healthcare developments and the news cycle to identify opportunities and implications beyond the immediate assignment.
- Strong quality control: produces client-ready materials, reviews junior work for accuracy and strategic alignment, and provides clear, actionable feedback before senior review.
- Clear, professional client communication, including managing routine email correspondence, sharing progress and next steps, and contributing to calls and presentations with senior support and supervision.
- Experience preparing a variety of spokespeople for interviews (ex. Client, KOL, patient, celebrity, etc.) through briefing materials, reporter research and anticipated questions; supports interview preparation and media training with senior guidance.
- Ability to assess media response and coverage, explain what results mean for client objectives and recommend adjustments to outreach in partnership with senior media leads.
- Strong organization and collaboration skills. Keeps media colleagues and account teams aligned on priorities, shares relevant context and flags risks, scope changes or resource needs early with recommended next steps.
- Experience directing and mentoring junior colleagues through clear assignments, thoughtful review and real-time coaching. Recognizes when sensitive media or client situations require senior involvement.
- Familiarity with Muck Rack, Cision or comparable media research and monitoring tools; curiosity about evolving media habits, formats and opportunities.
- Commitment to inclusive storytelling and teamwork, including considering whose voices are represented and sharing assignments and development opportunities equitably.
- Contributes ideas and learning to the broader media team and agency.
