Director of Finance & Controller

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Finance & Controller based in Brazil. Take on a senior finance leadership role within a growing U.S. multifamily real estate operation managing more than 200 residential units across 18 buildings in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, with plans to expand its portfolio significantly. You will lead the accounting and finance function end-to-end, combining strategic financial planning with hands-on operational oversight. Working directly with the Principal, you will deliver accurate, investor-ready reporting and clear financial insights to support business decisions. You will oversee outsourced accounting resources, strengthen financial systems and controls, and manage portfolio-level budgeting, forecasting, and liquidity. The role also contributes to acquisitions, dispositions, capital planning, lender compliance, and investor relations. An AI-first approach is central to the position, with daily use of tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to improve financial analysis, modeling, and reporting. This is a high-autonomy opportunity for an experienced multifamily finance leader who enjoys building scalable processes while remaining close to the numbers.
