About the role
Supply Chain
Why we are here
Together, we can fight exploitation in cocoa. Full stop. Tony's is an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes an impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain (TOC), mission allies like Albert Heijn, Ben & Jerry's, Jokolade, and Aldi have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate too.
What you will do
We are looking for a Business Controller Logistics to bring financial clarity to how we move and store our chocolate around the world. From inbound and outbound logistics to warehousing and inventory, you will connect the numbers to what is happening in our supply chain, helping us make better decisions as we grow our business and our impact.
You will be the go-to finance partner for our Heads of Operations in Europe and the US and our S&OP Manager. Together, you will understand performance, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Whether you are unpacking the impact of tariffs and freight rates or building a business case for a new logistics initiative, you will turn complex information into clear recommendations.
Based in Amsterdam, you will report to the Supply Chain Finance Manager and join our six-person Business Planning & Performance team. Alongside your logistics focus, you will support month-end close and the wider supply chain planning cycle. If you love getting into the detail while keeping sight of the bigger picture, this could be your next move.
All wrapped up
- Own logistics planning and control: Deliver timely, reliable reporting, latest estimates, budgets and three-year plans for logistics and warehousing. Bring clarity to historical and expected performance, flagging risks early so there are no avoidable surprises.
- Make our costs transparent: Build a robust control framework that delivers reliable insights into actual and forecast inbound and outbound logistics costs, warehousing spend, and inventory levels. Analyze and quantify how tariffs, fuel prices, and ocean and air freight rates affect financial performance, incorporating these drivers into forecasts to anticipate risks and support decision-making.
- Be a trusted business partner: Work closely with our Heads of Operations in Europe and the US and our S&OP Manager to translate financial insights into action. Challenge spending decisions and explain differences against budget and the costs included in our transfer pricing.
- Spot opportunities and drive improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and supply chain efficiency. Turn analysis into practical recommendations and influence stakeholders to make decisions that are best for Tony's.
- Build business cases that deliver: Partner with operational teams on new supply chain initiatives, making assumptions, risks and financial trade-offs clear before sign-off. Track actual performance and embed new initiatives into our planning and control framework.
- Support the wider finance cycle: Help the Supply Chain Finance Manager deliver month-end close and planning for our Bars entities in the Netherlands and the US. Prepare transfer pricing models, coordinate operational inputs and support other supply chain finance topics when needed.
