About the role
HRISNursing
If you want a Nurse Practitioner role where you can build real relationships with patients and stay closely connected to their care, this opening offers that chance. You’ll join a specialty team caring for patients with cancer and hematologic conditions, with the support of experienced physicians and a practice that gives room for thoughtful follow-through and coordination.
This part-time role is based in Provo and American Fork, Utah, with occasional coverage in Lehi, and Salem. Our office based clinics are scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Specific scheduled days will be based on practice needs and there are sporadic weekend call opportunities for an additional stipend.
Why This Team?
As a Nurse Practitioner on this Hematology & Medical Oncology team, you’ll work alongside experienced physicians, fellow Nurse Practitioners, and clinical professionals who stay closely connected as patients move through treatment and follow-up. This Nurse Practitioner role gives you the chance to practice with a team that values clear communication, continuity of care, and giving patients the attention they need.
Day in the Life
As a Nurse Practitioner, you’ll evaluate and manage patients in collaboration with supervising physicians and the clinical care team. You’ll perform focused and comprehensive histories and physical exams, develop and document treatment plans, order and review labs, imaging, and other diagnostic studies, prescribe medications and other therapeutic interventions within your scope, and monitor how patients respond over time.
You’ll also help patients and families understand diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and ongoing care. The Nurse Practitioner works closely with physicians, nursing staff, specialists, hospitals, and other members of the healthcare team while keeping documentation timely, accurate, and complete. Hospital rounding or other coverage responsibilities may be part of your workday.
