About the role
Customer SuccessCI/CDObservabilityAccount Management
Momentic is building the definitive verification layer for software: an AI-native testing platform that helps engineering teams catch bugs before they ship. As AI accelerates software development, teams need a reliable way to verify that their products work. Engineering teams at Notion, Webflow, Xero and Whatnot use Momentic to ship with confidence.
We’re hiring a Customer Success Engineer to own strategic relationships, customer success, and renewal readiness for our enterprise and selected medium-touch customers. We’re looking for someone who combines technical depth with strong strategic account judgment: you can earn an engineer’s trust, lead a conversation with an executive sponsor, and turn an ambiguous customer problem into a plan that gets delivered.
You’ll report to the CEO and work closely with customer engineering organizations, our Solutions Engineers, Sales, and Engineering to help customers realize measurable value from Momentic. From post-implementation adoption through renewal, you’ll own the account plan, build relationships across the organization, and keep the right people aligned on what success looks like. You’ll keep a clear, current view of each account’s adoption, delivered value, and risks so customers and teammates can make informed decisions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own our most strategic customer relationships. Build trust with executive sponsors, engineering leaders, technical champions, and day-to-day users. Understand their priorities and decision-making process, and keep stakeholders aligned.
- Turn adoption into measurable value. Create success plans with clear goals, milestones, and owners. Lead quarterly business reviews and annual planning sessions that connect testing coverage, suite health, and adoption to customer objectives.
- Lead technical adoption and customer projects. Translate customer needs into requirements and execution plans. Get hands-on to identify blockers and guide customers, coordinate with Solutions Engineering and Engineering to resolve issues, and bring actionable customer feedback into the product.
- Own renewal readiness and customer risk. Identify changes in usage, engagement, sponsorship, or delivered value early. Lead plans to address risk, demonstrate customer value, and partner with Sales on the commercial renewal process.
- Build the tools to run strategic accounts. Connect customer, contract, and product usage data into practical dashboards and workflows. Use AI to automate reporting, surface risks, and identify where to act, so you can spend more time driving customer outcomes. Build scalable workflows for smaller, low-touch accounts rather than relying on manual account management.
YOU’RE PERFECT FOR THIS ROLE IF…
- You’ve owned complex strategic accounts for a technical product, built trusted relationships from practitioners to executive sponsors, and delivered customer outcomes through difficult conversations.
- You have an engineering background or, at minimum, a computer science degree, with demonstrated hands-on coding and debugging ability. You can work credibly with engineers and engineering leaders, learn an unfamiliar product, and reason through testing, CI/CD, and adoption challenges. Experience working with developer-tools customers is strongly preferred.
- You’re strategic and numbers-oriented. You can turn usage and technical results into a business case and account plan, and use that evidence to identify and manage renewal risk.
- You’re organized, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity. You can turn an unclear customer problem into a concrete outcome and lead cross-functional work without formal authority.
- You’ve built CS tooling, dashboards, templates, or operating processes at an early-stage company. You use AI to build tools and automate workflows that improve account analysis, reporting, and customer management, and apply sound judgment to the outputs.
- You’re based in San Francisco or willing to relocate, and can work from our office five days a week.
