About the role
SEMGo-to-MarketHIPAALeadership
Job Overview:
We're looking for a Senior or Supervisor-level search specialist to help lead paid search for our Healthcare and Life Sciences clients, with paid social responsibilities for select accounts. Day to day, you'll plan, build, and optimize search programs (Google Ads Search and YouTube, potentially Bing) and run paid social campaigns where a client's program calls for it, working closely with account managers and the broader media team.
Experience with pharmaceutical and other highly regulated advertising is a plus as we continue to grow in that space. Depending on experience, this role will be hired at the Senior or Supervisor level and will report directly to the Senior Media Director, who heads the Paid Media department.
Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Paid Search (Primary)
- Own Google Ads campaigns across Search and YouTube for Healthcare and Life Sciences clients, from strategy and build through optimization and reporting; potentially support Bing campaigns.
- Manage budgets, bids, keywords, and testing, and report on results with clear insights and recommendations.
Paid Social (Select Clients)
- Plan, build, and manage paid campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, X, and Reddit for clients whose programs include social.
Team & Client Leadership
- Build internal processes that keep campaigns moving on schedule and serve as a client point of contact alongside the Account Manager.
- Mentor and train other media team members as the discipline and its processes mature.
Pharma & Regulated Healthcare (Plus)
- Shape compliant approaches to reaching hard-to-find and protected patient populations using de-identified condition-based audiences, contextual targeting, and privacy-safe data partners.
- Apply experience with NPI-based identity resolution and healthcare-specific programmatic platforms to guide HCP campaigns.
- Bring working knowledge of FDA/OPDP requirements, fair balance, Important Safety Information (ISI), and claims substantiation; help shape internal processes in partnership with the in-house MLR/medical team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years of hands-on paid search experience (typically 3–5 years at the Senior level, 5+ at the Supervisor level), with a track record of managing budgets and reporting on performance across multiple platforms.
- Paid search expertise from strategy through implementation, reporting, and management, including Google Ads Search and YouTube programs.
- Paid social experience running Meta and LinkedIn campaigns for select clients alongside search; X and Reddit experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients and account teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe, GTM, and related tools.
- Experience with Bing/Microsoft Advertising.
- Agency-side experience supporting multiple clients or brands simultaneously, ideally in healthcare or life sciences.
- Direct pharmaceutical or highly regulated healthcare advertising experience on DTC or HCP campaigns.
- Experience navigating Google pharmaceutical manufacturer certification or comparable platform healthcare policies.
- Familiarity with HIPAA-related constraints on health-data targeting and measurement, tracking-pixel risks, and compliant healthcare tagging/measurement vendors.
- Comfort working with client-side medical, legal, and regulatory stakeholders and with MLR review platforms such as Veeva PromoMats.
Platforms & Channels
- Paid Search: Google Ads (Search, YouTube); Microsoft/Bing (potentially).
- Paid Social (select clients): Meta, LinkedIn, X, Reddit.
- HCP (nice to have): PulsePoint, DeepIntent, Doceree, OptimizeRx.
- DTC Audience (nice to have): Swoop, Experian Health Audiences.
