About the role
B2B SalesGo-to-MarketStakeholder ManagementBusiness DevelopmentSpanishFrenchGerman
We’re looking for a Commercial Director to lead and grow PiwikPRO’s new business team, strengthen our sales approach and accelerate growth in existing and new markets.
You will be responsible for our global new business performance, developing a high-performing team and driving a shift towards value-based selling. By helping customers understand the broader business impact of privacy-friendly analytics, you will build stronger relationships with senior decision-makers, win larger opportunities and establish Piwik PRO as a strategic partner to its customers.
This is an exciting opportunity to help scale a proven product, develop our go-to-market approach and unlock growth across international markets. You will report to the CCO.
We are open to on-site, hybrid, and remote working within two time zones of our offices (CET).
In this role, please expect to travel up to 40% of the time.
About Us
Our group brings together three European software brands that help organisations earn and use data with trust: Cookie Information for consent management; Piwik PRO for privacy-by-design analytics and data activation; and Sheltr for reliably finding personal data in internal data sources.
Headquartered in Copenhagen with an office in Wrocław, our team of 180 people have been building trusted data solutions since 2011. We work with companies and marketing teams across various industries that take control of their data model, including some of the most data-sensitive clients in healthcare, finance, energy & utilities, and the public sector. We are proud that our clients rely on us to meet GDPR and EU data residency requirements across EMEA and the US, as this regulatory depth is hard to build and replicate. We believe compliance and performance are not opposites. Consented data, auditable analytics and full visibility of personal data belong to one data journey; together they form a foundation that marketing, IT, legal and the C-level can rely on.
Our journey is to move from a regulation-driven house of brands to one unified company with a clear point of view. We are creating a new category around this complete data journey, and together we are building an enterprise-ready, data-driven revenue engine led by thought leadership. Want to join us on this journey? Keep reading to find out how you can help shape this with us.
The Role
As Commercial Director, you will lead our existing new business team and take ownership of new business revenue performance. You will combine sales leadership, strategic execution and hands-on involvement in complex opportunities to help the team sell on business value rather than product features alone.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, coaching and developing the New Business team, including five Business Development Managers, a Lifecycle Manager and a Demand Generation Specialist.
- Building sales capabilities and helping the team engage more effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Own the global new-business target and translate commercial objectives into clear sales priorities, performance targets and execution plans.
- Developing and embedding a sales approach focused on customer challenges, business outcomes and strategic value, increasing deal quality, deal size, and sales effectiveness.
- Driving geographic expansion into the US and Canada, as well as new market segments in DACH, Francophone markets, and core EMEA regions.
- Building a systematic approach to engaging buying committees across marketing, analytics, compliance, IT security and legal, positioning PiwikPRO as a solution to broader business challenges.
- Represent PiwikPRO in relevant industry events, panels and senior customer conversations, while working closely with Marketing, Product and other commercial teams to improve our go-to-market execution.
About You
You are a commercially driven sales leader who knows how to build teams, deliver revenue targets and win complex B2B deals. You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and understand how to translate customer challenges into compelling business value. You are comfortable leading change, challenging established sales practices and developing a team that can engage confidently with senior decision-makers.
You bring:
- Proven experience leading and developing sales teams, with accountability for revenue targets and performance.
- Strong understanding of complex B2B sales, including value-based selling and multi-stakeholder buying processes.
- Experience selling complex digital or data-driven solutions and the ability to connect product capabilities to business outcomes.
- A solid understanding of marketing, analytics and the challenges facing modern marketing organisations.
- Experience developing sales strategies, improving sales processes and driving organisational change.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to use data and insights to improve sales performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including confidence engaging with C-level decision-makers.
- Fluency in English and German (both C2).
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in B2B SaaS, marketing technology, data, privacy or analytics.
- Experience with international sales expansion.
- Proficiency (C1) in French, Dutch or Spanish.
What we offer
- An opportunity to accelerate growth by helping unlock the potential of an established analytics product in a market with growing demand for privacy-first solutions.
- The chance to develop a high-performing team and shape a more strategic, value-based sales approach.
- The opportunity to expand our reach across North America and key European markets.
- Professional development budget, health insurance, and other benefits.
- A positive, informal workplace.
Application process
We’re looking to fill the position as soon as possible and will be inviting candidates for interviews on an ongoing basis, so don’t hesitate to send your application today.
This is what our recruitment process looks like:
- A brief screening call with our Talent Partner (online, approx. 30 mins)
- An in-depth interview with the hiring manager and a member of the team
- Interview with a key stakeholder including a live case
- A final interview with our CCO
This process is subject to change. All applicants who progress to the screening call will be informed of the full process as some stages may be combined and/or in person.
