We are proud to have the support of the best investors in the game who believe in our mission, solutions and people. Ready to tackle global challenges that impact business, society, and the environment? Come join us. The Opportunity: Indonesia is one of Flexport’s newest and fastest growing markets, and you’ll be our first commercial hire here. You’ll set the tone and the standard for how Flexport sells and serves clients in Indonesia. The commercial organization we build will rest on the foundation you lay, so your work will shape the business for years. You’ll work independently from day one and meet the high standards of our global commercial team. We need a self-starter who sees what the market needs and acts on it. You’ll be the main driver of our growth in Indonesia. You’ll build new client relationships, deepen existing ones, and find the places in a client’s supply chain where Flexport can add value. You’ll own a book of business and the long-term relationship with each client. You’ll show clients what Flexport offers, then build solutions that move their business forward. Flexport’s global teams will work alongside you to deliver for clients in Indonesia, across Asia, and around the world. As our team grows, you will also manage and mentor Account Managers on your team and shape how they grow. You will: - Lead the growth plan for your book of business. You’ll generate leads, turn them into opportunities, and develop solutions for clients. - Draw on each client’s goals, their industry, and Flexport’s services to close and deliver new solutions that deepen the relationship. - Act as your clients’ trusted advisor. You’ll advocate for their needs inside Flexport and find solutions that work for both sides. - Run regular touchpoints and business reviews that show clients the value they get and open the door to new opportunities and stronger retention. - Work with Operations, Procurement, Implementation, industry specialists, and Trade and Financial Services to build and carry out each client’s strategy. - Follow industry and supply chain developments, so you can guide clients through change. - Monitor client health and act early to improve outcomes and meet Flexport’s business goals. - Help clients improve operational processes and streamline their supply chains. - Master the Flexport platform and teach clients how to get the most from it. - Give Gateway Operations feedback, so client needs get met. - Solve problems and escalate when you need to. You should have: - A bachelor’s or master’s degree. - At least eight years in sales, account management, and supply chain operations, ideally in a manager or team lead role. - A background in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain (preferred). - Independence and initiative. You start work without waiting for direction and hold yourself to a high standard. - An entrepreneurial mindset and a record of delivering innovation and results. - Experience building a function or market from an early stage, or the drive to learn it quickly. - Experience working across complex global teams and building client relationships worldwide, then using those relationships to grow the partnership. - Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. - Strategic thinking and disciplined planning, with the ability to turn plans into action. - Clear communication in writing, in person, and by phone. - Awareness of business culture differences and the ability to adapt to local norms. - The ability to inspire a team, with a hands-on, approachable style. - High integrity and behavior that matches Flexport’s values. #LI-EC1 Commitment to Equal Opportunity At Flexport, our ability to fulfill our mission of making global commerce easy and accessible relies on having a diverse, dedicated and engaged workforce.
