The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced developer to join our small engineering team. The centre of the role is backend development in Python or Go and cloud infrastructure, with some front-end work alongside. At Deepdesk, we are building “Augmented Intelligence” for the enterprise. Think Gmail Smart Compose for contact centres. We use machine learning to provide agents with real-time recommendations and autocomplete suggestions, supporting them in efficiently assisting customers. Alongside recommendations, we offer fully virtual assistants that can take care of repetitive tasks. You will work on the services behind this: the Python and Go services and APIs, the data stores and the cloud infrastructure that run our product for enterprise customers, including the services that serve our recommendation models. You will also pick up front-end work where it helps the product, for example in our admin interface and widgets. We are also building voice agents: AI that talks with customers in real time. Speech is turned into text, a language model works out the answer, and the answer is spoken back, all within a fraction of a second. You will help build and run the services behind this, in Python and Go. We have a start-up culture, but your code is directly used and proven at scale.
