October 1, 2026 NORTH WELLINGTON HEALTH CARE PALMERSTON & DISTRICT HOSPITAL AND LOUISE MARSHALL HOSPITAL POSTING #2026-227 DIETARY AIDE (CASUAL - CROSS SITE) A casual cross-site Dietary Aide position is available within our Support Services Department at North Wellington Health Care (Palmerston and District Hospital & Louise Marshall Hospital). The home site for this position is Palmerston and District Hospital.    This position is unionized with OPSEU, Local 226.   RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for the preparation, assembly, service, delivery and storage of food for use within the patient care and cafeteria settings; including the cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and work area. REQUIREMENTS:              - Minimum Grade 12 - Food Service Worker Program Certificate or willingness to obtain - Safe Food Handling Certificate - Experience in a Healthcare Dietary setting preferred - Experience in quantity food preparation and cooking - Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and communication skills - Ability to follow instructions accurately - Excellent record of dependability - Satisfactory performance and attendance required - Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date - Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check - Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired HOURS OF WORK:  - Day, evening and weekend shifts as per department schedule, on an as needed basis - As per Collective Agreement SALARY:               - $28.66 - $29.26 per hour   Interested applicants please submit your cover letter and resume on BambooHR at the following link: https://whca.bamboohr.com/jobs/ by 4:00pm on October 9, 2026.
