About Us
Clark Land Resources provides right of way services to utilities, energy developers, pipelines, and public agencies. Our team secure the land rights that make critical infrastructure projects possible with integrity, accuracy, and respect for the landowners and communities we work with.
Role Summaries
Our Operations team supports every phase of the right of way lifecycle. Positions under this description range from entry-level to senior and leadership roles, and may include:
- Right of Way / Land Agents: Negotiate and acquire easements leases, and other land rights, and document all landowner contact
- Field Services: Job walks, landowner outreach and notification, access coordination, and field verification
- Title Research: Research ownership, chain of title, and encumbrances, and prepare abstracts and ownership reports
- Research and Interpretation: Review and interpret deeds, easements, plats, and legal descriptions to determine acquisition needs
- Relocation: Advise displaced residents
- Project Support and Management: Coordination, data and document control, quality control, client management, and project or team leadership
Responsibilities Common to All Positions
- Represent Clark Land Resources professionally and ethically with landowners, clients, and the public
- Keep accurate, timely documentation in company systems
- Follow applicable laws, regulations, client requirements, and company policies
- Protect the confidentiality of landowner, client, and project information
- Meet quality, productivity, and deadline expectations
- Collaborate across teams and raise issues and risks promptly
Qualifications
- Experience in right of way, land acquisition, title, research, real estate, surveying, or a related field, or demonstrated aptitude to learn
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license for field positions
Preferred
- IRWA designations or coursework, real estate license, notary license
- Industry experience
- Familiarity with GIS, mapping, and right of way software
Working Conditions
Field positions include travel, outdoor work in varied weather and terrain, and flexible hours to meet landowner availability. Office positions involve extended computer work.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay is determined by position and experience. Mileage is reimbursable at the rate determined by the IRS. Full-Time employees may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, identity protection, accident insurance, critical illness, group life, group long term disability, voluntary life, and voluntary short-term disability. Training and certification support may also be available.
