Senior Automation Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer based in the United States. The Senior Automation Engineer will provide specialist automation support to water, wastewater, and bioresources operational teams, helping maintain reliable industrial control systems and improve treatment processes. The role focuses on programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial control networks. You will use process control, telemetry, instrumentation, and data analysis to identify operational efficiencies and support informed decision-making. You will also help standardise new instrumentation, control, and automation (ICA) installations while strengthening system reliability and performance. Alongside hands-on technical responsibilities, you will contribute to developing the automation capabilities of operational teams.
