Controller, Finance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Controller, Finance based in the United States. The Controller will serve as the senior hands-on accounting leader, overseeing the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial operations and reporting for a national nonprofit organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Finance & Operating Officer, this role will lead monthly financial close activities, maintain strong internal controls, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards. You will oversee budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, financial reporting, and the annual external audit while partnering closely with department leaders to support informed decisions. The position also offers an opportunity to strengthen accounting systems and processes while supervising and developing a member of the finance operations team. This is a remote, full-time opportunity for an experienced finance professional motivated by mission-driven work and collaborative leadership.
