Join Formlabs if you want to bring ground-breaking professional 3D printers to the desktop of every designer, engineer, researcher, and artist in the world. As a Strategy & Operations Analyst at Formlabs, you will turn messy business problems into shipped solutions. You’ll take problem statements from teams across the company — Finance, Operations, Sales, Support, R&D — scope them, rally the right people, and build much of the solution yourself with SQL, Python, automation, and AI tools. You’ll also be a key partner to the CIO in running the IT & Systems organization: driving OKRs, reporting, and roadmapping across a 26-person team spanning data platform, digital systems, financial systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. This is a role for someone early in their career with a very strong ability to learn quickly — someone who has done analytical or operations work at a consulting firm, startup, or BizOps team, and who would rather build the fix than write the deck about it. You will report directly to the CIO and work closely with the leaders of each IT & Systems team. This role is based in our Somerville, MA office and will be a hybrid role with the expectation of at least 3 days a week in office. The Job: - Business Problem Delivery: Take ambiguous problem statements from the business, define requirements and success measures, and lead small cross-functional teams from scoping through launch. - Hands-On Building: Write the SQL queries, Python scripts, integrations, and low-code or AI-powered automations that close gaps between systems — then hand off steady-state ownership to the right domain team. - OKRs & Planning: Run the IT & Systems OKR process — gather inputs, track progress, and surface risks early so leadership can make decisions. - Reporting & Roadmaps: Own the data, cadence, and first draft of recurring leadership reporting, roadmap rollups, and spend reporting (cloud, SaaS, and AI tools). - Operational Excellence: Improve how the organization runs — software purchasing, renewals, license hygiene, and vendor coordination — with a bias toward automating the process rather than doing it by hand. - Executive Support: Prepare analysis and materials for executive and cross-functional discussions, translating technical work into business outcomes. You: - Experience: 2–4 years in consulting, business operations, strategy & operations, or a similar analytical role. - MBA: From a top-tier program (or equivalent strategic experience in fast-paced, high-growth companies) - Builder Mindset: Have shipped something real that other people used — a tool, dashboard, automation, or script — not just a spreadsheet model. - Technical Skills: Comfortable writing SQL and working in Python or a similar scripting language; able to learn new systems and APIs quickly. - Structured Thinking: Can break down an ambiguous problem, size it, and communicate a clear recommendation in writing and in person. - Cross-Functional Influence: Lead without authority — you build trust with engineers, finance partners, and business stakeholders alike. - Ownership: Highly organized, follow through on commitments, and are comfortable juggling several workstreams at once. - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, economics, business, or a related field. Bonus Points: - Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, agentic workflows) to automate business processes. - Exposure to enterprise systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Shopify, or a modern data stack (dbt, BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar). - Experience running an OKR, planning, or budgeting process. - Familiarity with software procurement, vendor management, or SaaS spend management. - Interest in hardware, manufacturing, or 3D printing. Our Perks & Benefits: - Robust equity program to build future wealth through RSUs - Comprehensive healthcare coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision) - Low cost fund options in our 401K and access to advisors - Generous paid Parental Leave (up to 16 weeks) - Tenure-based paid Sabbatical Leave (up to 6 weeks) - Flexible Out of Office Plan – Take time when you need it - Ample free on-site parking & pre-tax commuter benefits - Healthy on-site lunches, snacks, beverages, & treats - Regular sponsored professional development opportunities - Many opt-in culture events across our diverse community - And of course… unlimited 3D prints We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. Even if you don’t check every box, but see yourself contributing, please apply. Help us build an inclusive community that will change the face of 3D printing. Compensation: Equity is a big part of the compensation package at Formlabs - every employee receives equity because everyone contributes to building the company. We have a lot of confidence in the products we’re building and the impact we’re making, and you should too. Base pay is the other part of our compensation package, and it is carefully determined based on your skills, experience, and expected impact. Equity and base pay combine to make up your total compensation package at Formlabs. The annual base pay range for this role is: $85,000—$140,000 USD
