Senior Accountant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Accountant based in the United States. We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee financial accounting processes and support the accurate management of complex funding sources. In this role, you will play a key part in managing federal, state, and local grant accounting, ensuring financial records and reporting meet applicable regulatory and organizational requirements. You will collaborate closely with the Controller and teams across the organization to support budgeting, financial close activities, and audit preparation. Your expertise will help strengthen internal controls, improve financial processes, and ensure timely, reliable reporting for internal and external stakeholders. You will also monitor grant expenditures, analyze budget variances, and maintain compliance with funding agreements and accounting standards.
