Job Description
ASG is looking for an AI Enablement Engineer to help our portfolio companies fundamentally rethink how they operate using AI. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role at the intersection of business problem-solving, solutions architecture, and AI engineering.
You'll partner directly with business and technical leaders across a diverse portfolio of software companies to untangle complex challenges, challenge existing ways of working, and create practical AI-powered solutions. Your work could mean reimagining customer onboarding, surfacing operational insights, eliminating manual work in finance or support, or discovering new ways to reduce costs and improve customer experiences.
We want someone who doesn't just take requirements and build what's asked. You'll help companies discover what's possible, take ideas from discovery through production, and demonstrate measurable business outcomes.
You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will:
- Partner with OpCo executives, CTOs, functional leaders, and frontline teams to diagnose complex business problems and identify high-value opportunities for AI.
- Redesign, improve, remove, or replace outdated internal workflows across customer onboarding, support, go-to-market, finance, and other business operations.
- Architect, build, integrate, and deploy AI-powered workflows and agentic systems from initial discovery through production, with clear owners and success measures.
- Create AI-powered operational intelligence and observability that exposes bottlenecks, anomalies, risks, and actionable insights across fragmented systems and data.
- Identify and deliver opportunities to reduce operating costs, increase capacity, improve margins, and elevate customer experiences.
- Work with OpCo product and engineering teams to explore AI-enabled customer and product opportunities when appropriate.
- Recognize patterns across companies and develop reusable components, integrations, and deployment approaches that accelerate future projects.
- Balance business value, usability, technical feasibility, and responsible data handling when evaluating solutions and emerging capabilities.
We're Excited About You Because:
- You have strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of personally architecting, building, and shipping production systems, not just managing delivery or configuring tools.
- You have customer-facing experience in solutions engineering, forward deployment, technical consulting, or a similar role that requires working with varied stakeholders.
- You can engage credibly with CTOs and senior business leaders, ask insightful questions, challenge assumptions, and translate ambiguity into an executable plan.
- You understand business operations and economics, can prioritize by potential impact, and measure results beyond technical completion.
- You have experience with APIs, enterprise integrations, data flows, orchestration, and practical AI approaches, including models, agents, and multi-step workflows.
- You have demonstrated creative problem-solving across different customers, industries, or operational environments and can learn unfamiliar businesses quickly.
- You are resourceful, pragmatic, and comfortable owning outcomes independently in a fast-moving environment.
- You understand responsible handling of business data, permissions, and system access while partnering with established security and governance teams.
- You bring substantial relevant experience; senior engineering depth and stakeholder maturity matter more than a specific title, tenure, employer, or framework.
Base Salary Range
The target salary range for this position is ($200,000-$225,000), and is part of a competitive total rewards package including an annual bonus, employer-paid benefits, L&D stipend and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
