This role specifically owns the strategy and execution for our Soft and Hard Coolers, Bags, and Lunch categories. In this role, you will act as the category anchor—taking business segments from incubation to scale. You will drive cross-functional alignment and build an innovative product pipeline that infuses these categories with style, culture, and cultural relevance. This role requires a balance of high-level brand strategy and cross-functional execution to deliver strategic brand collaborations, artist co-creations, and core product line expansions rooted in our brand DNA. What You'll Do - Drive Category Strategy: Serve as the strategic anchor for the Mobility & Storage lines, building robust category roadmaps for soft/hard coolers, bags, and lunch solutions from the ground up. - Lead Product Lifecycle: Guide product programs from initial concept through global delivery, owning timelines, resource allocation, and execution. - Fuel Culturally Relevant Innovation: Translate global trends, consumer insights, style, and culture into unique product assortments, limited editions, and strategic partner collaborations. - Galvanize Cross-Functional Teams: Partner closely with Design, Development, Marketing, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Finance to champion your product line and maintain organizational momentum. - Craft Compelling Narratives: Communicate product vision, commercial architecture, and performance goals through powerful visual, written, and verbal storytelling to internal and external partners. - Manage Financial Guardrails: Ensure all programs align with product architecture, design guidelines, margin requirements, product costs, and category budgets. - Oversee Operational Mechanics: Direct product administration, including item setup, physical sampling, technical specifications, and regulatory compliance. - Foster Strategic Relationships: Build and maintain high-impact partnerships with external brands, retailers, creative talent, and global suppliers. Who You Are - Experienced Product Creator: 7+ years of proven experience in Product Management, Product Development, or Product Creation, ideally within consumer goods, outdoor gear, or soft goods. - Entrepreneurial Mentality: Proven track record of launching, managing, or scaling product lines in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where you were building processes and rallying teams around change. - Trend & Culture Savvy: Deep understanding of global consumer dynamics, creative trends, color, graphics, and how to flex product storytelling effectively across regions. - Cross-Functional Leader: Outstanding ability to advise creative work while collaborating seamlessly across highly technical engineering, operations, and commercial business teams. - Analytical & Meticulous: Strong financial savvy with the ability to balance design goals, strict timelines, margin expectations, and metrics. - Master Communicator: Proactive, collaborative communicator who presents confidently to executives, cross-functional and external partners. - Technical Toolset: Highly proficient in presentation and project management tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Smartsheet).
