Business Analyst
We are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to work based in Billericay, Essex on a full time, permanent basis.
About us
DCK is one of the world’s leading fashion jewellery companies, working with many well-known retailers and high street fashion brands including River Island, M&S, Matalan, Next and Tesco.
As our business continues to grow and evolve, technology plays an increasingly important role in how we operate. We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst to join our Business Systems team and play a key role in shaping improvements across our technology and transformation roadmap.
This is a varied Business Analysis role, working across DCK with business teams and technology partners to understand requirements, improve processes, explore AI and automation opportunities, and support the introduction and enhancement of business systems.
The role:
Reporting to the Head of Business Systems & Transformation, the Business Systems Analyst will analyse business needs and help define effective system and process solutions across DCK.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders from across the business to understand their requirements, identify opportunities to improve processes and systems, and translate those requirements into practical solutions.
The role focus will vary from improvements to existing business systems through to the analysis and requirements definition for new technology solutions and the systems workstreams associated with onboarding new customers and business opportunities.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst who enjoys understanding how a business works, challenging existing processes and turning complex needs into practical improvements.
Key responsibilities:
· Work with stakeholders across DCK to understand business challenges, opportunities and requirements.
· Lead discovery sessions, requirements workshops and process-mapping activities.
· Gather, analyse and document functional and non-functional requirements.
· Translate business needs into clear functional, non-functional, system and process requirements for internal teams and third-party partners.
· Own the business analysis activities for systems changes, from discovery and requirements definition through to validation and handover.
· Analyse current and future-state processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities to simplify ways of working.
· Evaluate potential system and process solutions, documenting options, benefits, impacts and recommendations.
· Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, technical teams and suppliers to clarify requirements and support solution design.
· Assess the impact of proposed changes on people, processes, data and integrations.
· Coordinate testing and UAT, ensuring solutions meet agreed business requirements before deployment.
· Support go-live activity and transition new solutions into business-as-usual support.
· Explore and assess appropriate AI use cases, working with stakeholders to evaluate benefits, risks and practical opportunities for adoption.
· Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process redesign, automation and the effective use of AI tools and capabilities.
· Analyse requirements for onboarding new business, ensuring system, data, integration and process needs are captured and clearly communicated.
· Act as a bridge between business teams and technical specialists, translating between business requirements and technology solutions.
· Maintain clear, consistent business analysis documentation, including process maps, requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
