As ONE Inovalon, we deliver value to our customers and to the millions of patients and members they serve.
Who You Are
You are a Senior Software Development Engineer L4 who designs, builds, and optimizes scalable software solutions that support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities for clients. You help shape architecture, engineering standards, and delivery practices across the team. You bring strong technical judgment, reporting and data experience, and focus on building secure, reliable, high-performance systems supporting business outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Design resilient, secure distributed systems from concept through implementation to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities at scale.
- Lead technical decisions to improve scalability, resiliency, security, performance, and engineering quality across services and solutions.
- Review and influence system designs, architecture, and standards for building and maintaining scalable software.
- Investigate and implement innovative technologies that expand infrastructure capabilities and improve reporting solution reliability and performance.
- Develop detailed designs for complex systems with strong engineering analysis, testing, and optimization practices.
- Create and use metrics to manage server fleets and complex computing environments — driving automation, operational efficiency, and performance improvements.
- Own design, analysis, testing, and optimization to ensure solutions are reliable, maintainable, and high performing.
- Collaborate with engineers, internal teams, and external customers to understand requirements and maintain a data-driven feedback loop.
- Mentor and onboard team members to support knowledge sharing and ongoing team success.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to address critical issues outside standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays within defined SLAs.
What You'll Need
- Minimum 5+ years of related professional experience; prior software engineering experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong programming skills in object-oriented languages, including .NET and C#, with experience developing RESTful APIs and EF Core mapping.
- Proficiency with Angular and TypeScript.
- Experience with SQL, RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Solid understanding of software and database design patterns.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design for performance, scalability, and availability.
- Experience with cloud-native AWS managed services, containers, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD.
- Experience with OAuth2, JWT, and Secrets Manager.
- Growth potential and learning agility to learn new technologies quickly, expand technical scope, and apply new knowledge to improve systems and outcomes.
- Leadership in influencing technical direction, collaborating across engineering and partner teams, mentoring, and constructively working through differing viewpoints.
- Adaptability to adjust priorities and technical approaches in response to changing requirements, evolving architecture, and operational demands.
- Creative thinking to identify practical, innovative ways to solve infrastructure, reporting, and scalability challenges.
- Analytical skills using metrics, data, and engineering logic to evaluate tradeoffs, solve complex problems, and support technical decisions.
