Originally built in 1888, the property is the fourth oldest of Sydney’s remaining wool stores. Today, it has been thoughtfully transformed into a boutique hotel featuring 90 beautifully appointed guestrooms, a multi-award-winning neighbourhood restaurant and bar, and versatile spaces for meetings and events. We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Casual Barista to join our team at Hotel Woolstore 1888. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves coffee, enjoys connecting with people and has experience delivering attentive, personalised table service in an à la carte or café-style environment. You’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and locals, serving quality coffee and providing an exceptional dining experience. With a hands-on approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, you’ll bring a genuine passion for hospitality and contribute positively to our close-knit team. - Proven barista experience, with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of coffee preparation. - Experience providing table service in an à la carte restaurant or café-style environment. - A friendly, customer-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to manage coffee orders and table service efficiently during busy periods. - A positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a collaborative team spirit. - Confidence working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and service. - Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
