Fulfillment Buyer, Construction (Starship)

This Fulfillment Buyer will support Starbase purchases across multiple commodities, stakeholders (capital projects, facility management, production, etc.) and supply chain team clusters. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Issue purchase orders quickly and without error - Ensure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliers - Obtain the original promise date from suppliers - Review open order reports and manage deliveries - Resolve invoice issues and ensure that vendors are paid on time - Expedite parts as necessary - Act as customer service for SpaceX internal customers - Support buyers in cost savings initiatives - Lead miscellaneous procurement projects BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree; OR 4+ years of professional experience working in a supply chain, production, or engineering function in lieu of a degree PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - Purchasing experience, specifically related to capital equipment or Indirect buying - Remarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speed - Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs - Excellent customer service skills - Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills - Exceptional analytical and organizational skills - Strong technical knowledge of MS Office Suite - Ability to conduct all activities with the highest degree of integrity - Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: - Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed - Must be willing to travel to other sites as needed ITAR REQUIREMENTS: - To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
