Senior Non-Functional Tester (IC)

Job Title:                     Senior Non-Functional Tester We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Non-Functional Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in non-functional testing, including performance, reliability, and observability testing, with hands-on experience in various testing tools and frameworks. Design, develop, and execute comprehensive non-functional test plans including performance, load, stress, scalability, security, reliability, and availability testing. Required qualifications and experience - Relevant testing process qualification (ISTQB or equivalent) - Non-Functional Testing (NFT) test preparation, execution, and reporting experience, including presenting results - 5+ years of relevant experience - Experience with API Testing including chaining requests, parameterisation, and functional proving - Ability to create testing frameworks using the following tools: - - Postman - - JMeter - - Load Runner - - Azure - Experience with observability tools (ideally Datadog) Good to have -  Smart Meter experience (SMETS 1 & 2) - Energy domain knowledge - Business Continuity Non-Functional Testing experience (in addition to performance) - Experience with Jira and Confluence      Responsibilities - Collaborate with development, infrastructure, DevOps, and functional QA teams to understand architecture and business requirements. - Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks, memory leaks, and performance degradation; provide detailed root cause analysis and recommendations. - Establish benchmarks, test environments, and monitoring solutions to support ongoing system performance evaluation. - Conduct security and vulnerability assessments in collaboration with the InfoSec team. - Develop and maintain automated scripts for continuous performance testing as part of CI/CD pipelines. - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers and contribute to best practice sharing and process improvement. - Prepare detailed test reports and dashboards for stakeholders, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
