Customer Support
Location: Birmingham, AL · Type: Full-time, on-site · Compensation: $55,000–$70,000 base salary + performance bonus Staffing Fitness is partnering with a fast-growing, multi-location boutique fitness operator to find a Studio Leader who can grow a studio, build a winning team, and create a member experience people talk about. Our client runs heart-rate-based, coach-led group training studios and is known for a strong culture, clear goals, and promoting from within. The role As Studio Leader, you own the results of your studio: membership growth, team performance, operational compliance, and the member experience. You'll lead a team of coaches and sales associates, partner weekly with the Chief Operating Officer, and turn company goals into a clear plan your whole team can rally behind. Our client calls this role Studio Leader; at most boutique studios it's the Studio Manager or General Manager. It's a hands-on leadership role, so you'll spend your time on the studio floor and in the lobby, not behind a desk. Assistant Studio Managers ready for their first studio of their own are encouraged to apply. What you'll do Drive studio growth - Set yearly, quarterly, and monthly goals with the COO and build the plans to hit them - Lead weekly team meetings and goal-focused working sessions - Plan and run community and marketing events that bring in new members - Review studio metrics weekly to spot gaps, at the studio and individual level, and act on them Build and develop a high-performing team - Hire, onboard, and coach sales associates who consistently hit lead, intro, membership, and wearable-tech sales goals - Hire coaches in partnership with the Head Coach, keeping coach turnover low; lead and develop an Assistant Studio Leader where the studio has one - Run role-plays, training sessions, and regular feedback conversations - Conduct twice-yearly performance reviews (April and October) for the Head Coach and all sales associates - Recognize great work, address performance issues directly, and make tough staffing calls when needed Create clarity and alignment - Make sure every team member knows the mission, the values, the current priority, and their part in hitting it - Communicate consistently through team chat, email, trainings, and in-studio check-ins Run a tight, compliant operation - Follow company business policies and meet all COO deadlines - Build the sales associate schedule so the front desk is covered for every operating hour - Process cancellations, freezes, and membership changes within 3 business days - Respond to emails within 24 hours - Make sure every class runs to standard: check-in and station assignments, heart-rate tech running, on-time starts, and the late-arrival policy enforced Own the member experience - Be out front during class check-in: greet members by name, support the front desk, and build real relationships - Set the standard for a welcoming, high-energy lobby and exceptional customer service How success is measured You'll lead your team to these targets: - Coaches: intro class close rate 60%+ - Coaches: class utilization 80%+ - Coaches: monthly member churn under 5% - Sales associates: intro classes booked per shift 2+ - Sales associates: close rate 60%+ What you bring - 1–2+ years as a Studio Manager, Assistant Studio Manager, or in a similar leadership role in fitness, retail, hospitality, or another sales-driven, customer-facing business - A track record of hitting sales and membership targets - Experience hiring, training, and coaching people to higher performance - Comfort with metrics: you read the numbers and turn them into action - Strong organization and follow-through on deadlines and policy - A people-first, high-energy presence; members and staff want to be around you - Availability for early mornings, evenings, and some weekends to match class schedules Nice to have: boutique or group fitness experience, multi-unit or franchise operations background, or a fitness certification. Why you'll love it - Competitive base salary plus performance bonuses tied to studio results - Complimentary studio membership - Weekly one-on-one strategy time with the COO - A clear path to multi-studio leadership as the company grows - A culture built on clarity, accountability, and celebrating wins How to apply Apply through this posting. A Staffing Fitness recruiter will reach out to qualified candidates.
