BESS Operations Engineer

Join a growing clean energy team focused on improving the safety, reliability, and performance of utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS). As a BESS Operations Engineer, you will take ownership of the technical performance of a large-scale energy storage portfolio, combining engineering expertise, operational data analysis, and hands-on troubleshooting. You will investigate equipment failures, lead root cause analyses, and collaborate with field teams and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to minimize downtime and strengthen asset reliability. By monitoring critical metrics such as availability, capacity retention, State of Charge (SOC), and cycling performance, you will identify opportunities to optimize fleet-wide operations. You will also contribute to engineering standards, warranty management, and continuous improvement across the asset lifecycle.
