Sr. Technician - Security Systems

Our client, an established electronic security systems integrator, is looking for an experienced Installation & Service Technician to support commercial customers throughout Northern Nevada. This role involves a combination of installation, programming, troubleshooting, and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection. Key Responsibilities - Install, program, test, commission, troubleshoot, and service commercial electronic security systems. - Work with access control, CCTV/IP video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems. - Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system integration issues. - Respond to service calls, preventative maintenance requests, and emergency repairs. - Perform system upgrades, equipment replacements, and modifications to existing installations. - Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. - Complete system start-ups, testing, commissioning, and customer training. - Coordinate with project managers, other technicians, and customers to ensure successful project completion. - Maintain accurate service reports, installation documentation, and project records. - 3+ years of experience installing, servicing, or programming commercial electronic security systems preferred. - Hands-on experience with access control, CCTV/IP video, and intrusion systems. - Strong troubleshooting skills with electronic hardware, software, and networking. - Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. - Comfortable working independently on installation projects and service calls. - Strong communication and customer service skills. - Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Northern Nevada.
