About the role

JapaneseAzureB2B SalesPartnerships
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS: Genspark is expanding our B2B motion. This is a revenue-ownership role. You will carry a partner-sourced number for APJ and build the commercial machinery that produces it: the tier structure and margin model, the deal-registration rules, the partner agreements, the activation process, and the reporting that makes the whole thing forecastable. In APJ that means two things at once: 1. Microsoft. We are a Microsoft launch partner today. The job is to turn that relationship into booked revenue through co-sell eligibility, a transactable Marketplace listing, and drawdown against customers’ Microsoft committed spend. Expand our customers’ footprint as well as land new logos together. 2. Resellers and SIs in Japan and the wider APJ region. Japan has no shortage of large partners willing to put our logo on a slide. It has very few producing partner-sourced pipeline. We are hiring someone to fix that, starting in Japan and extending to Korea, ANZ, India and Southeast Asia. WHAT YOU WILL OWN Microsoft partnership (roughly 50%) - Own our day-to-day relationship with Microsoft Japan and Microsoft ASEAN field teams: account mapping, co-sell motions, joint pipeline reviews, customer focused community events. - Build the joint account plan — a named, prioritised account list agreed with Microsoft sellers. - Convert Microsoft committed-spend budget into our pipeline: identify which customers can fund us from existing commitments and work the deal with the Microsoft account team. - Own Microsoft-side funding asks (co-op/MDF, marketplace incentives) end to end, including the reporting Microsoft requires. Reseller and SI recruitment (roughly 50%) - Recruit, sign and activate resellers, distributors and systems integrators across APJ, Japan first, Korea second. - Convert existing marquee Japanese relationships from announcements into quota-bearing resale: agreed targets, named account coverage, a first deal inside 60 days of signing. - Build the partner pipeline yourself in year one. You are quota-carrying on partner-sourced revenue. - Run the activation motion: onboarding, certification, first-deal support, then a quarterly business review. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR MUST HAVE: - 3-5 years in channel, partner or sales roles at a software, cloud or AI vendor with at least 3 of those in Japan. - Native-level Japanese and business-level English. You will sell to Japanese partners and report to a global team in the same week. - A real, current network inside Microsoft Japan and among Japanese SIs, resellers or distributors. - A track record of carrying a partner-sourced pipeline or revenue quota. - Experience taking a partner from signed to first closed deal, and you can explain what you did in the gap between the two. - Comfort with ambiguity. Processes here are being written while you work; you’ll be asked to propose them, not wait for them. NICE TO HAVE: - Experience in the Microsoft ecosystem specifically: co-sell, Marketplace, or an Azure consumption-based commercial model. - Background at a systems integrator or distributor before moving vendor-side — you’ll know how partners actually make money. - Exposure to AI, agent or productivity software categories, where the partner value proposition is still being defined. - Willingness to travel ~30% across APJ. ABOUT GENSPARK Genspark builds an AI agent and productivity platform used by teams and enterprises. We are a Microsoft launch partner and are building a global partner network across resellers, systems integrators and affiliates. The APJ partner motion is early, which is the point: the person in this role will define what it looks like rather than inherit it. We hire for capability, not for a checklist. If you meet most of what’s above and can show us how you’d build this, apply.
