About the role
ExcelBusiness Development
In this position, you will play a crucial role in growing our staff augmentation division, PRPL & Friends, for data center, telecom, and critical infrastructure staffing. You will be primarily responsible for finding, placing, and retaining skilled field talent for a telecom client which builds and supports data center environments. A day in the life of this Recruiter includes high-volume sourcing, phone screening, credential verification, and keeping crews staffed on active job sites.
You are the "face" of PRPL to the skilled trades marketplace and all new hires. You speak the language of the field: you know the difference between a cable tech and a foreman, and why a crew short two installers on Monday is an emergency. This role requires a solutions-oriented approach working with both field talent and our client to fill critical staffing needs quickly. We take an extraordinary amount of care in everything we do and seek to drive maximum value through EVERY interaction. Adaptability, resourcefulness, urgency, and attention to detail are foundational pillars of how we operate and serve our talent and customers.

- Run high-volume recruiting for multiple job sites at once.
- Screen candidates on technical fit: cabling types, termination and splicing, testing and certification, rack and stack, cable management, and reading prints and drawings.
- Assess foreman and lead candidates for crew leadership, job site safety, scheduling, and client communication.
- Verify credentials and certifications
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements: background checks, drug screens, site access and badging, and travel readiness.
- Schedule and coordinate all internal (PRPL) and external (client) interviews.
- Obtain and conduct reference checks, with emphasis on prior foremen, site supervisors, and project managers.
- Follow up on all candidate interviews (coordinate next steps and/or rejections).
- Maintain relationships with past placements to support redeployment as projects end and new sites open.
- Attend and/or support recruitment events such as trade school career days, union hall events, and industry job fairs.
- Enter data daily into our ATS based on recruitment and hiring activities.
- Research and recommend tools that improve high-volume screening and scheduling (AI, skills assessments, text recruiting, etc.).
Client Facing Responsibilities
- Partner with our Business Development Manager and client project managers and site leads to understand crew size, skill mix, start dates, site locations, and travel requirements.
- Present talent via Candidate Bio documents and Candidate Spreadsheets. Must be able to write clear, compelling summaries of a candidate's most relevant technical skills, certifications, and project experience. Good grammar and no spelling errors are the minimum expectations.
- Coordinate interviews for the client and prep talent on job site expectations, safety requirements, and schedules.
- Support smooth starts: confirm onboarding paperwork, site access, PPE, and day-one logistics.
- Conduct regular performance check-ins with the client for all placed talent, and address attendance or performance concerns quickly.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of professional staffing experience focused on recruitment of utility, telecom, data center, or infrastructure field roles.
- Proven high-volume and/or project-based recruiting experience, including filling multiple openings on tight timelines.
- Working knowledge of structured cabling, fiber, and data center trades: technician levels, common certifications, tools, and safety expectations.

- Hands-on recruitment experience: sourcing, phone screening, and interviewing field talent.
- Ability to use creative sourcing techniques to reach talent who aren't active on traditional job boards.
- Natural ability to build rapport quickly with field talent, foremen, and client project managers.
- Comfort with background checks, drug screening, and pre-employment compliance processes.
- Maintain the utmost discretion and sensitivity in handling employee issues.
- Superior listening, writing, and speaking skills.
- Initiative, dependability, and a willingness to jump in when urgent requests arise.
- Proficiency with Google Suite.
- Bullhorn ATS experience a nice to have.
- Prior experience as a technician, installer, or in a field operations role a plus.
