Superintendent

Surespan Construction Ltd. is currently accepting applications for Superintendent positions (with Bridge Building and/or Pile Driving project experience). Position Requirements This position requires travel to various Project Sites throughout Western Canada.  A minimum of 5 years of heavy civil construction experience is required.   Additional project management experience is an asset.  The candidate must be capable of taking ownership and leading construction crews including foremen.  This position requires management of all field construction from project inception to completion. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills. Major responsibility is to provide proactive leadership in: - Assisting in the selection of field site personnel - Planning and implementing construction means/methods, schedules, productivity innovations, site logistics - Monitoring cost control and job costing, quantity reporting, forecasting, productivity - On-site co-ordination of manpower, materials and equipment - Developing, monitoring and executing the project construction plan and schedule - Supervising, mentoring, coaching and training of field personnel - Organizing and coordinating all subcontractor activities - Project close-out, responsible for final inspections, deficiencies, warranty work and site demobilization Ideal candidates will be Project Superintendents with 5+ years of applicable experience in bridges, pile driving and transportation projects.   Compensation: Surespan offers a competitive salary package commensurate with experience along with an excellent benefits package.
