The Employee will help our organization to identify and bridge the gap that exists in the business by analyzing the data, scale and support digital transformation initiatives. We are seeking an experienced IT Software Engineer 4 with strong expertise in Java development, AWS cloud technologies, and Generative AI for software development. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications. The candidate will work within an Agile/Scrum team to develop complex software solutions, implement cloud-based applications, integrate systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure application performance, security, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain complex software applications using Java. - Develop and deploy scalable applications using AWS cloud services. - Implement AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation templates. - Work with AWS ECS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, and Elasticsearch. - Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices. - Develop and maintain applications using relational and NoSQL databases. - Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes. - Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Perform system integration testing, debugging, and troubleshooting. - Implement security best practices, including AWS IAM roles and policies. - Leverage Generative AI tools to improve software development productivity. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members. - Support production applications and resolve complex technical issues. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with 8+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, a relevant master's degree with at least 6 years of experience. - 8+ years of software development experience, including Java development, or 6+ years of Java development experience with a relevant master's degree. - At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies. - Experience with AWS CloudFormation, ECS, Lambda, Fargate, S3, and Elasticsearch. - Strong understanding of AWS IAM roles, policies, and cloud security. - Experience with microservices, MVC, and event-driven architecture. - Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Oracle, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or Elasticsearch. - Knowledge of messaging and streaming services such as AWS SQS, SNS, and Kinesis. - Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps. - Experience developing RESTful APIs and using tools such as Swagger and Postman. - Knowledge of automated testing, TDD, BDD, Selenium, and Cucumber. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. - Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software architecture, and the software development lifecycle. - Experience using Generative AI tools for software development. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Location: Peoria, IL - Work Arrangement: Hybrid - Candidate Requirement: Local candidates only - Work Authorization: US Citizens and Green Card holders
