About Digi Security Systems
Digi Security Systems designs, installs, and supports custom video surveillance, electronic access control, and intrusion detection solutions for industrial, energy, and commercial customers across Texas. None of this is a nice-to-have. When a plant, refinery, or utility site has a gap in how their buildings are secured, they have to close it. It also means the relationship does not end at install. Customers who trust us with their buildings keep coming back, and they tell their peers. We have built our reputation on reliable service and technical depth, and we are part of one of the fastest-growing security technology platforms in the country.
Position overview
Digi Security Systems is looking for an Account Manager (AM) to grow and protect our most important customer relationships in commercial security technology, starting with an established territory book of business.
This seat owns a designated book of existing accounts. You will be each customer's strategic advisor, and you will know their organization, their budget cycle, and their buildings well enough to bring them the next project before they go looking for it. Every account in your book gets a roadmap, a quarterly business review, and an owner who never lets a renewal lapse unnoticed.
What you will do
- Own a designated book of accounts across our core verticals, including manufacturing, industrials, utilities, energy, and oil and gas
- Build and keep current a map of every account: org chart, decision makers, buying cycle, spend history, and contract status
- Build relationships across each customer's leadership, from plant and operations managers to facilities, HSE, and corporate security leaders, so no account depends on a single contact
- Run a quarterly business review with each account's executive, IT, HR, life-safety, and security leaders, and leave every one with a next step
- Build a next-year roadmap for every account that identifies long-term growth opportunities and the funding to pay for them
- Grow each account deeper and wider through renewals, add-ons, and new sites, capturing need, budget, and timing for the estimator
- Own every service-agreement renewal in your book, and raise a service agreement on every proposal
- Bring something worth sharing to every review (a new technology, a code change, a funding opportunity), and hand the referrals that follow to an AE
- Keep every expansion opportunity, account touch, and review current in HubSpot, and raise any account at risk with your leader early, with a plan to keep it
What success looks like
Once the book is yours, a strong year looks like:
- $5M in bookings across your designated accounts
- Net revenue retention above 100 percent, and 15 percent growth in recurring revenue across your book
- A quarterly business review held with every account, every quarter
- At least two executive relationships at every account
- A forecast you can stand behind, with every expansion opportunity current in HubSpot each week
Who you will work with
You will not carry the account alone. Each part of the team takes work off your plate so your time goes to the customer:
- An estimator, who walks the site and prices the work you bring forward
- The AEs, who take the referrals you generate and work them as new customers
- Operations and service, who deliver what was sold, and whose insight you bring back to the account
- A business development manager on your largest accounts, where the market has one
What you will bring
- You have worked in or sold into manufacturing, industrial, utility, energy, or oil and gas environments, and you know how those sites operate. Exposure to video surveillance, access control, or a related trade is a plus. Early-career candidates with direct industry experience are encouraged to apply
- Executive presence. You can run a business review with a customer's leadership team and leave with a next step and, when the moment is right, a peer introduction
- Business acumen. You connect a customer's budget cycle and spend to where the account can go next
- You keep every opportunity current and call an honest forecast without anyone chasing you
- You handle sensitive information carefully and look out for the customer's interests and the company's together
- Clear communication. You structure your thinking and say it plainly
- You build relationships that last, and you treat the customer's buildings and systems as something to protect
- You work hand in hand with operations, estimating, and service to deliver what was sold
Compensation and benefits
- Base + uncapped commission aligned with experience and the benefits
- Commission on bookings across your accounts
- 401k plus company match
- PTO and paid holidays
- Full health benefits: medical, dental, and vision available
- Training and licensing paid for by the company
- Voluntary professional development opportunities
- Company laptop, company phone, uniforms and gear
