We work with international clients, value autonomy and clear communication, and build long-term partnerships through technical excellence. 🔗 More information: http://coderio.com About the Project We are looking for a talented and highly autonomous AI / MCP (Model Context Protocol) Developer to join a strategic initiative for a leading hedge fund and multi-asset investing business. This role is critical for addressing a significant backlog of AI use cases and agentic development. You will focus on building, scaling, and productionalizing AI solutions, taking ownership of development tasks from initial concept to deployment. You will work closely with a core internal team to seamlessly integrate cutting-edge AI capabilities into an established, high-security infrastructure. Responsibilities Develop & Deploy: Build, test, and deploy MCPs (Model Context Protocol) connecting to various critical data sources, including Snowflake and SharePoint. Data Integration: Connect diverse databases, APIs, and other systems to expose data via MCPs, enabling advanced Copilot workflows and collaborative AI workspaces. Refactor & Productionalize: Take existing proof-of-concept (MVP) code created by non-technical users and refactor it into robust production infrastructure, strictly adhering to architectural and security standards. Prompt Engineering: Design, test, and optimize prompts for VMCPs, AI skills, and plugins to ensure highly accurate agent responses. Quality & Debugging: Identify and resolve bugs in MCPs and systematically evaluate their performance against given prompts. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside data engineering and platform teams to design optimal data pipelines and integrations. Requirements Programming: Strong hands-on proficiency in Python and solid coding fundamentals (business logic is abstracted, but high technical problem-solving is a must). AI / Copilot Development: Proven experience building AI-driven solutions and working with MCPs. Familiarity with the FAST MCP framework. Prompting & Tools: Solid experience in prompt engineering and familiarity with AI assistant coding tools like Claude Code (e.g., running cloud sub-agents, managing skills/plugins). Cloud & Infrastructure: Good general knowledge of AWS. Data Skills: Experience integrating unstructured and structured data sources (databases, APIs, SQL/ORMs, SharePoint, files). Language: Advanced or bilingual level of English (C1 or above). Soft Skills: High level of autonomy. You must be able to independently take tickets, research solutions, and drive them from concept to completion without constant supervision. Excellent communication skills to articulate progress and technical blockers to the core team. Nice to Have Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform. Familiarity with Agent Core or similar frameworks for agent-side development. Prior experience in the financial services, hedge fund, or investment sectors.
