ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an AI-powered financial services startup to lead M&A transactions while helping shape the software that supports deal execution. This senior, client-facing role combines transaction ownership with close collaboration with engineers, and includes building the initial execution team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage M&A engagements from mandate through closing, advising clients, negotiating with buyers, and overseeing transaction details.
- Identify repeatable deal-execution tasks and turn them into clear workflows and requirements for engineers to automate.
- Test and validate software on live transactions, then use the improved tools to serve more clients and manage more deals.
- Build the initial execution team and help grow its capacity.
- Develop client relationships, earn trust, and make sound commercial judgments throughout the deal process.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Approximately 1 to 4 years of relevant experience, including M&A execution as an investment banking Analyst or Associate.
- Experience at a leading investment bank or advisory firm, followed by meaningful work at a high-growth startup, growth equity or venture capital firm, or small to midsize private equity fund.
- Ownership of live M&A transactions from start to finish, including process management, client advice, negotiation, and execution.
- Ability to translate recurring manual work into clear engineering requirements and assess whether software solutions work in practice.
- Strong client-facing and commercial judgment, with the ability to manage relationships independently.
- Interest in working closely with engineers to improve deal workflows. No specific technology stack is listed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Compensation is described as exceeding your current total compensation and includes equity. No specific salary range or visa sponsorship policy is provided.
LOCATION
