About the role

PrototypingEmbedded Systems
The PACE is fast. The expectations are high. The contribution matters. Working at TYTAN is more than a job, this is a mission. We push boundaries, think big, and hold ourselves to the highest standard. Our mission and values guide everything we do, and we're looking for people who are driven by ownership, embrace challenges, and are energized by meaningful work. If you're motivated by impact and thrive in dynamic environments, you'll fit right in. At TYTAN, we aim to set a global standard in autonomous air defense with AI-driven, cost-efficient systems that counter unmanned aerial threats at scale. We protect people. We protect critical infrastructure. We protect European sovereignty. In our Prototyping Lab, ideas become hardware fast, and our 3D Printing Area is at the heart of it. As a Working Student, you will be the bridge between our engineering teams and the lab. Engineers bring you the parts they need; you turn their requests into a clear plan, pick the right printer and material, and deliver a finished part on time. Because many teams need prints at once, you will balance competing requests, keep everyone updated on status and make sure our fleet of around 30 printers runs reliably every day. Your roadmap to make an impact - Print requests: Take requests from engineering, clarify material, tolerances, quantity and deadline, and give honest feedback on printability - Print preparation: Prepare and slice models for FDM and resin printers, choosing settings, orientation and supports for each part - Capacity planning: Plan and track capacity across around 30 printers, prioritise competing requests and keep requesters updated on status - Maintenance: Carry out routine and preventive maintenance, including nozzle and hot end changes, calibration, cleaning, belt and bed checks, firmware updates and resin tank care - Supplier repairs: Organise service jobs with suppliers for repairs beyond in-house maintenance and follow them up until each printer is back in operation - Lab organisation: Keep the 3D Printing Area clean, safe and organised, including filament and resin stock, spare parts and consumables - Continuous improvement: Make the area work better through improved workflows, storage, labelling, documentation and request tracking
