Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in the successful execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Take ownership of assigned scopes, subcontractors, and project phases while driving accountability, schedule performance, and issue resolution.
- Serve as a primary point of coordination between clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Assist in the development and management of project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, cost tracking, and forecasting.
- Lead the preparation, distribution, and tracking of RFIs, submittals, change orders, permits, and other project documentation.
- Monitor project progress through site visits, field coordination, and communication with Superintendents to ensure compliance with contract documents and quality standards.
- Facilitate project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and track action items through completion.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities, material procurement, logistics planning, and project milestones to support efficient project delivery.
- Identify potential project risks, schedule impacts, and cost exposures while proactively developing solutions with the project team.
- Maintain accurate project records and reporting within Procore and other company management platforms.
- Support project closeout activities, including punch list management, turnover documentation, warranties, and final deliverables.
- Continuously develop technical, operational, and leadership skills in preparation for advancement into a Project Manager role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent construction experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction project management, field coordination, or related project delivery roles.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and project documents.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and related construction technology platforms.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
