Responsibilities
- Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, maintaining accountability for safety, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, property management teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with field leadership to coordinate project mobilization, logistics, staffing, procurement, subcontractor management, and overall project execution.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and procurement plans to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Provide leadership and direction to Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and project support staff, fostering accountability and professional growth.
- Oversee all project administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting management, permits, and project reporting.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues that could impact schedule, budget, quality, or client expectations.
- Lead project financial management, including contract administration, purchase orders, subcontract management, budget tracking, forecasting, billing, collections support, and cost control.
- Conduct regular project meetings and ensure action items are completed and communicated effectively.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting within Procore and other company management systems.
- Drive project closeout efforts, including punch list completion, final turnover documentation, warranty management, and financial reconciliation.
- Represent Origin Construction professionally while building strong relationships that lead to repeat business and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 7+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, construction administration, architecture, engineering, or related project delivery roles.
- Strong knowledge of South Florida commercial construction practices, subcontractor markets, permitting processes, and project delivery requirements.
- Proven experience managing multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, budgets, schedules, and project priorities simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, scheduling, cost management, and risk mitigation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and related construction technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
