About the role

Bantam Communications is seeking a Senior Associate, Digital to plan and run the digital side of our advanced energy project campaigns. Our campaigns reach the people who decide whether a project moves forward, whether that is residents and local officials in a single county or the state and federal policymakers who shape the conditions for building. In this role, you will build digital plans, run and optimize paid campaigns across Meta, Google, and StackAdapt, manage email campaigns and landing pages, create and oversee organic content and community management, and present results and recommendations to clients. You will also build AI agents and workflows in Claude, including ad decks in Claude Design, that take repeatable work off the team’s plate, such as copy variants, campaign QA, and reporting. The role reports to the Director of Communications, with a dotted line to the Director of Technology & Innovation for AI workflows and platform work.
The ideal candidate already builds with AI in their day-to-day work and wants to keep pushing what it can do for campaigns. You can carry several campaigns at once, read performance data closely and act on it, and write clearly enough that a client can follow your recommendations and act on them. You thrive in a fast-moving, multi-client environment and take pride in getting details like targeting and disclaimers right, because in this work the details decide whether a campaign holds up.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Digital planning: Build digital plans for project campaigns, choosing the channels, audiences, and messages that build support among local residents, officials, and policymakers. Work with campaign managers to align each digital plan with the campaign's goals.
- Paid campaigns: Build, launch, and optimize paid campaigns across Meta (Facebook), Google (Search, YouTube, and Display), and StackAdapt, covering lead generation, awareness, geofencing, and search. Manage county- and town-level targeting, budgets, pacing, and bids across several projects at once.
- Build with AI: Build and maintain Claude agents and workflows for repeatable digital work, such as copy and creative variants, ad decks in Claude Design, campaign QA, and report generation. Review every output for accuracy and compliance before it reaches a client or goes live, and share what works with the team in collaboration with the Director of Technology & Innovation.
- Landing pages and lead capture: Build and maintain ad landing pages and lead form integrations, and keep lead data clean and ready to hand off.
- Measurement and analytics: Set up conversion tracking, pixels, and analytics so every campaign measures what matters. Analyze performance, including cost-per-lead, and use the results to refine targeting, creative, and spend.
- Client reporting: Maintain live dashboards and deliver campaign reports that say plainly what happened and what should change. Present findings and recommendations to clients.
- Email campaigns: Develop and manage email campaigns, including drip campaigns, and track open rates, link clicks, and other engagement metrics to improve content and timing.
- Organic content and community management: Create and oversee monthly organic content calendars for each project, written to client-specific SEO, tone, and messaging conventions and routed for approval through HeyOrca. Oversee community management, including Facebook comment moderation, client-approved responses, and escalating threats or safety concerns per protocol.
- Compliance: Manage ad accounts, page access, and partner permissions. Set up new and white label pages and “paid for by” political disclaimers, track platform policy windows, and handle ad rejections and appeals.
- Advocacy campaign support: Support letter-of-support and advocacy campaigns, including Speak4 landing pages, RSVP and event promotion, and letter-of-support tracking.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 to 5 years of experience planning and running paid digital campaigns for political, issue advocacy, public affairs, or agency clients.
- Hands-on experience building and optimizing campaigns in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads, including targeting, budgets, and disclaimers.
- A track record of building with Claude in real campaign work, including agents, ad decks, and Claude Design projects.
- Experience building landing pages and connecting lead forms to a CRM or email platform.
- Experience setting up conversion tracking, pixels, UTMs, and web analytics (GA4 or similar).
- Ability to analyze campaign performance and present findings and recommendations clearly to clients.
- Experience building and managing email campaigns, including drip campaigns, and tracking open rates, click-through rates, and other engagement metrics.
- Experience creating organic content calendars and managing online communities, including comment moderation.
- Able to manage several concurrent campaigns independently in a remote environment, with proactive project-management hygiene.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Subject-matter familiarity with renewable energy, advanced energy policy, or federal, state, and local infrastructure permitting processes, particularly in the utility-scale development context.
