Founding Forward Deployed Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE Join an early-stage AI company serving the consumer packaged goods sector as a technical partner to customer operations teams. You will own implementations from initial discovery through go-live, helping customers improve their wholesale workflows and shaping product capabilities through insights from the field. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Lead customer onboarding from discovery and integration through configuration, testing, and go-live. - Work with operators to map purchase-order-to-cash workflows and determine how the platform should support their needs. - Build and troubleshoot integrations across EDI, ERP, inventory, accounting, and freight systems. - Translate operational requirements into data models, configurations, and product capabilities. - Share implementation learnings with engineering and help turn customer feedback into product improvements. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - At least 3 years of experience in forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, implementation engineering, technical onboarding, or a similar customer-facing technical role. - Experience owning customer onboarding end to end, from discovery through deployment and go-live. - Hands-on experience integrating EDI with ERP, inventory, accounting, and freight systems, ideally in CPG, supply chain, logistics, or wholesale operations. - Working knowledge of APIs, data models, SQL, and integration debugging, with the ability to read and write code as needed. - Strong systems thinking and comfort navigating ambiguity, operational complexity, and changing priorities. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: $0 to $200,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION On-site in New York, United States.
