Why Techs Make the Move to Our Sales Team - Uncapped commission on gross margin, so your earnings grow with every system you sell - Company provided leads, so you spend your time consulting rather than cold calling - Less physical wear and tear while still using the skills you’ve built - Automotive allowance or company vehicle options - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance - Company paid life insurance - 401k with company match up to 4% - Paid vacation and holidays - Tuition reimbursement and ongoing professional development - Employee referral bonus program What You’ll Do - Meet with homeowners from company provided leads and assess their backup power needs on site - Perform load calculations and recommend the right generator size and configuration - Evaluate electrical panels, gas service, metering, and site conditions to scope each job accurately - Build and present custom proposals that are technically sound and easy for homeowners to understand - Follow our established sales process from first visit through close - Coordinate with install and service teams so every job is set up for a smooth handoff - Grow your own referral pipeline through past customers, networking, and community events - Track progress against sales goals and performance metrics What You Bring - 3+ years of hands-on experience installing, servicing, or selling residential standby generators, or comparable residential electrical field experience - Working knowledge of transfer switches, load management, panel capacity, and generator sizing - Experience with Generac, Kohler, or Briggs equipment strongly preferred - Comfortable explaining technical concepts to homeowners in plain language - Sound judgment in qualifying the right solution for each home - Electrical license or manufacturer certifications are a plus - Experience with ServiceTitan or another CRM is a plus - Flexibility for some evening and weekend appointments - Eligible to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship for employment visa status - Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening - Valid driver’s license and insurable on the company driver insurance policy Who We Are Current Electric is an award winning electrical contracting and renewable energy company.
