As Cook B, you will support daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cooking assigned menu items, and assisting with mise en place and service preparation. You will work closely with senior kitchen staff to maintain food quality, organization, and efficiency while following established food-safety and hygiene standards. Job Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking - Wash, peel, trim, and cut vegetables, meat, and other ingredients. - Complete basic food-preparation tasks and cook assigned menu items according to recipes and instructions. - Support the Chef de Partie and Cook A with mise en place and service preparation. Kitchen Operations & Stock Management - Keep ingredients, utensils, and workstations ready for production. - Check ingredient freshness and report shortages, damage, or quality concerns. - Assist with receiving, storage, and stock rotation. - Develop speed, accuracy, knife skills, and consistency through daily kitchen work. Hygiene & Food Safety - Keep work areas, utensils, and equipment clean and organized. - Follow food-safety, allergen, hygiene, and workplace-safety procedures. - Follow instructions carefully and ask for clarification when needed.
