Position Overview: A Container Cleaner makes sure shipping containers are clean, safe, and ready to use. This job follows clear steps to reduce mistakes, improve quality, and keep work consistent. The role includes cleaning, checking for problems, reporting issues, and helping the team improve the process over time.   Key Responsibilities: - Check containers before cleaning to find dirt, damage, leaks, odors, or other problems. - Follow the same cleaning steps each time so the work is done safely and the same way for every container. - Use the right tools, equipment, and cleaning products to remove dirt, debris, and residue from inside and outside the container. - Separate, handle, and throw away waste the right way, including any hazardous material, by following safety and environmental rules. - Use power washers, scrubbers, and other equipment safely and report any equipment problems right away. - Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and follow all safety rules. - Inspect each container after cleaning to make sure it meets quality and safety standards before it is released for use. - Keep the work area clean and organized to reduce delays, waste, and safety risks. - Report repeated problems and share ideas that can help improve quality, speed, and consistency. - Perform other assigned duties as needed. Qualification: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - Experience in cleaning, warehousing, shipping, or a similar hands-on job is helpful. - Ability to follow written and spoken instructions carefully. - Basic knowledge of how to use cleaning products and handle them safely. - Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and move equipment or materials during the workday. - Attention to detail to spot problems and make sure containers meet quality standards. - Willingness to follow standard work and support process improvement. Skills: - Basic skill in using cleaning tools and equipment. - Good communication skills to report problems, ask questions, and follow directions. - Good time management to finish work on schedule without lowering quality. - Ability to work carefully and consistently by following standard steps. - Problem-solving skills to notice issues and help prevent them from happening again.
