Unarmed Security Officer – Contract Position Banknote Corporation of America (BCA)   Location: Greensboro, NC   Position Type: Full-Time, Contract   Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour   Schedule: Monday–Friday for 1st and 2nd Shift - Sunday - Thursday for 3rd shift Available Shifts: 1st- 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. | 2nd- 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. | 3rd - 10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.   Position Summary BCA is seeking dependable and professional Unarmed Security Officers to support facility security operations. Officers are responsible for protecting employees, visitors, property, and company assets while maintaining a safe and secure workplace.   Contract Assignment This is a temporary contract assignment. Although the anticipated duration is approximately six (6) months, the assignment is not guaranteed for any specific length of time and may be ended at any time. Contract extensions and permanent employment opportunities are not guaranteed.   Key Responsibilities - Patrol buildings, grounds, parking areas, and security checkpoints. - Monitor CCTV, access control systems, alarms, and other security equipment. - Control and verify employee, visitor, vendor, and contractor access. - Respond to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and safety concerns. - Complete security logs, incident reports, and other required documentation. - Assist with evacuations and emergency response. - Enforce BCA security procedures and facility rules. - Perform other security-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications - High school diploma or GED. - At least 21 years of age. - Legally authorized to work in the United States. - Strong communication and basic computer skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow security procedures. - Ability to work the assigned Monday–Friday shift and potential overtime as needed including weekends.  - Ability to meet applicable security registration, screening, and employment requirements. Preferred Qualifications - Previous security, military, law enforcement, corrections, or related experience. - Experience with CCTV or access-control systems. - CPR, AED, or First Aid certification. - Experience in an industrial or high-security environment. Physical Requirements - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. - Ability to climb stairs, bend, reach, and perform routine patrol duties. - Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds. - Ability to work indoors and outdoors. - Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
