DevOps Engineer (Database Administration & Cloud Infrastructure) - Aveiro

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in database installation, configuration, high-availability architectures, replication technologies, backup and recovery processes, performance optimization, and troubleshooting. This role requires solid Linux and networking knowledge, with cloud, Kubernetes, and containerization experience considered a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities - Install, configure, and administer PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB databases. - Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of database platforms. - Design, implement, and manage high-availability, replication, and disaster recovery solutions. - Define, execute, and monitor backup and recovery strategies. - Perform database performance analysis and tuning to optimize system efficiency. - Diagnose and resolve incidents and technical issues related to database environments. - Administer and support Linux-based operating systems and virtualized infrastructures. - Collaborate in the management and support of cloud infrastructures. - Participate in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Kubernetes environments and container-based solutions. - Work closely with infrastructure and development teams to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of platform services. Education - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience - Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, Database Administration, or a related infrastructure role.Technical Skills - Strong experience with: - PostgreSQL - Oracle Database - MongoDB - Linux Operating Systems - Solid expertise in: - Database installation, implementation, and configuration - High-availability architectures - Replication technologies - Backup and recovery strategies - Disaster recovery solutions - Performance tuning and optimization - Incident analysis and troubleshooting - IT networking fundamentalsPreferred Qualifications - Experience working with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar). - Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters. - Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar). - Knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure automation best practices.Languages - Professional proficiency in English.Profile - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Proactive and results-oriented mindset. - Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Focus on service reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.
