DB2 System Admin

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a DB2 System Admin based in the United States. This fully remote role is responsible for maintaining DB2 software and database environments on IBM mainframe platforms running z/OS. You’ll help ensure systems remain secure, supported, documented, and compliant with applicable STIG and SRG requirements. The position combines hands-on database administration with software installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance. You’ll provide technical support on DB2-related questions and issues across mission-critical mainframe environments. The role also contributes to database migrations and application software upgrades while following established operational procedures. Success requires strong attention to security, documentation, change management, and reliable execution in a regulated environment.
