Position Summary The Porter / Building Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall presentation of the property. This position plays an important role in creating a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for residents, guests, employees, and visitors. The Porter performs daily cleaning, janitorial, common area maintenance, trash removal, lobby support, restroom maintenance, and basic building upkeep. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, professional, and takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property. The Porter works closely with the property management, maintenance, and cleaning teams to identify and address maintenance or cleanliness concerns, report building issues, and ensure the property remains safe, organized, and presentable at all times. This is a union position represented by 32BJ SEIU.
